edit - The fight I mentioned was Kael's (obviously, as stated by the strategy I submitted), however, I believe the other fights can also be 5 manned (there's a link to a video of a DK soloing Al'ar and another post of someone claiming a DK has soloed Kael in TK - which I refuse to believe due to the fight's mechanics - ).Ĭommentaire de citriqueed: as of patch 5.04, old raid zones now only provide you with gold amounts based on the number of people in the instance, so boss and trash drops are now 1/25 what they used to be for this raid, making it useless to farm gold. It might take a few tries to get this going with such a small group but you should be fine once you learn it well and feel more comfortable in the fight with a 5man group. He still does Flamestrikes, summon phoenixes and disorients, so whoever is carrying the staff has to be within range of everybody. Just make sure everybody gets close to the ground before Gravity Lapse ends and make sure not to stand close to the Nether Vapor around Kael (specially the tank).

If you get past phase 4, you're done, phase 5 is easy. With everybody close to the tank he/she can easily break MC with the dagger without having to run towards the group members, and believe me, that can decide whether you wipe or get past this phase.ĭps and healers should waste their defensive cooldowns like rogue's Evasion before phase 4 because you don't want the tank missing attacks to break MC, except for mages and paladins, who can iceblock/bubble out of it.

The trick to do a successful phase 4 passage is having everybody stack with the tank on Kael and just move away if there's a Flamestrike being cast there. At least one dps has to have the staff equipped and active to protect the raid from stun/fear/disorientation during phases 3-5, so I suggest bringing casters and having they stay within 30 yards from the other group members for the staff to take effect. It can be solohealed, I have done that before, but I realized that making the healing job easier is worth even the loss of one dps.Ģ-3 dps (depending on your heals setup). The tank never gets MCed and since it is a warrior it can pick up the shield to absord Pyroblast and the dagger to break MC asap from any other group members.ġ-2 healers. To 5man successfully you will want in your group:ġ warrior tank. What you need is: having everybody very well geared, of course, and have a few certain classes/roles in your party. Commentaire de ChromellI 5 man this fight every week with a few friends.
